Who is up for a juice fast this week?
I could use the extra clarity to crank out the next best thing!

In preparation of a day of online training for momma, my favorite lady & I are connecting over breakfast @Sage’s Brunch House and I am turning off my phone.
How do you balance an entrepreneurial spirit and family?
Happy Mother’s Day.
Her whole life, I have been walking an unclear line between social expectations & her sovereignty. When we walked into kirtan, she asked, “Will you dance with me?” (How many times will this happen?) She joined friends, reclined two pillows thick. Auntie taking picture of her toes.
Relaxed, kicked back.
Excited to be chanting, and sharing our spiritual practice like this - with others. When one woman began dancing, she magnetized to her. When we grow up questioning our own worth, we project that on our children. I feel into my initial response to reign her in. Sit her down. Quiet. Status quo. They are dancing, and laughing.
This amazing light being is a gift.
Her unadulterated presence moves people to their feet. Frees the beat. Liberates limitation.
More people join them. They laugh.
Grown men are hopping over pillows.
I am much more reserved, and near tears.
She is valued and seen by her community.
Yes, there are times she gets super squirrely. She runs over a pillow and slips. A woman makes a point of me seeing her frown. At one point, she crashed into an open water bottle. We get towels and clean up the spill. I am anxious. I am not present with chanting. I am a mom. Guiding the people who will lead our planet is stressful enough. Conditioning ourselves to deflect judgment does not make that any easier. A community includes all generations working and growing together.
I now absolve all judgments of parents and children everywhere. My gift to you. Happy Mother’s Day.
